CPR Classic is delighted to offer this lovely 1974 Porsche 914 2.0L finished in the lovely factory color of Olympic Blue. This 914 has been cared for to a tremendously high level throughout its life and presents today as an excellent high-quality example with all of the best “tweaks” that make a 4-cylinder 914 better to drive.

This 914 2.0 resided most of its life in Dallas Texas before being acquired by Auto Atlanta in Georgia. The car was purchased by a long-time CPR Client and lifetime air-cooled enthusiast based in Dana Point California. Added to his lovely collection of vintage VWs and Porsches, this 914 spent multiple years being pampered and regularly taken to Cars and Coffee and Porsche events of all kinds. During the most recent ownership, the bumpers were back-dated to the pre-1973 units for a prettier aesthetic.

This 914 also wears some light alterations that make it a much more enjoyable driver. The original factory fuel injection system has been substituted for a set of Dellorto 40DRLA high-flow carburetors that allow the engine to breathe more efficiently and improve all-around response and performance. The car also has a “Cooler Air” R134 A/C system that works outstanding with a very clean installation throughout.

In the past two months, the car has had a multitude of service work carried out by Cape Automotive, a Porsche repair shop based in Mission Viejo California.

The service work performed included the following:

-Full rebuilds of the 40DRLA Carburetors
-Gas tank boiled and lined
-All new fuel lines installed
-New fuel pump installed
-Fresh fluids throughout

Upon arrival at CPR Classic, the car was thoroughly inspected and found to be in fantastic fully-sorted condition. The car needed nothing outside of a light detail to be prepared for sale. The car runs and drives just as it should. It starts well both cold and hot, makes excellent power, and has a lovely induction sound with the installed carburetors. The gearbox is sorted with a properly adjusted shift linkage.

The sale includes service records, the original tool kit, and owner manuals. The car is currently titled in California and being a pre-1976 example the car is smog-exempt in California and registerable in all states.
