911 Targa

CPR Classic is delighted to offer this 1977 Porsche 911S Targa finished in Guards Red over a black interior with added houndstooth inserts. This example has been treated to a multitude of restoration work and presents today as a well-sorted, exceptionally high-quality example throughout.

This example was originally finished in Silver with a black interior. A detailed complete color change was performed in Guards Red before being sent to Porsche of Colorado Springs. On arrival at Colorado Spring's Porsche Classic Department the car had the following performed:

-New fuel tank, fuel lines, and injectors
-All exterior trim and rubber seals and gaskets replaced
-Complete engine disassembly and reseal to include installation of updated chain tensioners
-New heater boxes and exhaust system
-New clutch, flywheel, and clutch cable
-New speakers, wiring, and head unit for the sound system
-Full sorting of the vehicle's electrical system to include a new front wiring harness, new alternator, and battery
-Complete refinish of wheels, mount, and road force balance new tires and four-wheel alignment

The Targa top was fully overhauled by Dave Brown of Boulder Colorado. This example was one family owned from new until being acquired by Porsche Colorado Springs in 2015 when the car showed 91,000 original miles. The car now shows just over 94,000 original miles and remains in near-flawless cosmetic condition. The quality of the car's repaint is on par with CPR standards and the interior shows as nearly flawless with some light stretching to the seat bolsters.

The car arrived at CPR in 2021 and remained in storage for nearly a year. Recently, the car's owner has decided to add several other air-cooled Porsches and has elected to let this example leave his stable. CPR has fully evaluated and serviced the car to ensure it is ready for many spirited miles with its next owner.

It is not often that a mid 70's 2.7 911S receives the attention and treatment that this example has. Far more than the car's actual value has been spent to get the car to the level it presents in today. With this in consideration, this 911 can be acquired for a fraction of the cost it would take to replicate this example in terms of fit, finish, and condition. If you are looking for a 911 that presents as a no-expense spared example at an entry-level price point, this is a must-consider Porsche.
