CPR Classic is excited to offer this lovely 1966 Porsche 912 painted in Leaf Green with a black interior and green tartan inserts. This 912 was acquired by CPR from a collector client in Texas and presents as a very nice driver quality restoration throughout.

The exterior is finished in Leaf Green, a subtle and seldom seen factory color. The exterior paint presents in excellent condition with only minor imperfections. When the car was repainted, Talbot mirrors were installed as well as a painted cover for the exhaust cutout on the driver side bumper.

The exterior brightwork is mostly original and in very nice condition throughout. The decos and weather stripping were replaced after the car was repainted along with the horn grills, headlight rings, and exterior lenses. The bumper guards are unrestored and show very light amounts of pitting. Overall the fit and finish of the exterior is very tidy and well executed.

The interior in the car is finished in black vinyl with added tartan inserts. The door panels, dash, seats and headliner are all in excellent condition. The gauges are original and in beautifully preserved condition. When the interior was restored, the owner at the time also chose to install a wooden shift knob and steering wheel as well as an aftermarket horn button. CPR will install a correct steering wheel, shift knob and recover the front seats if the new owner would prefer.

The engine in the car is period correct and runs outstanding. It remains in its stock 1.6L configuration and produces about 90 horsepower. The gearbox has standard gear sets and shifts nicely through all five gears with a tight and sorted linkage. The engine presents in very nice cosmetic condition with correct finishes.

The 912 was, until recently, one of the most underrated air-cooled Porsches to consider as an enthusiast. Although not as powerful as a 911, 912's offer a wonderfully nimble experience at the wheel. Having a much lighter engine out the back, the car's balance is excellent with great handling characteristics and a driving experience that will constantly put a smile on your face.

This 66' 912 will serve its next owner as a perfect example to drive regularly and take to Porsche events and Cars & Coffees.
