911 S

CPR Classic is greatly pleased to offer one of the finest examples of a long-hood 911 that we have ever restored or sold. This 1970 911S is a two-owner example that was delivered new at El Camino Porsche Audi in San Carlos, California.

The original owner ordered the car at the factory in Stuttgart and provided a blue leather sample to have the interior completed in. The story and particular interior color are documented through the car's history and its Certificate of Authenticity (CoA). The interior is listed as "Leather to Sample" on the CoA. Several years ago, when the car arrived at CPR for its restoration, the original interior was still intact. This allowed us to replicate the identical color and inserts that the car was originally delivered with from the factory.

The original owner who purchased the car had it regularly serviced at DM Motors in Palo Alto, California. The original owner and the owner of DM Motors were long-time friends, and when the original owner passed in 2012, the owner of DM Motors purchased the 911S from his family. He then commissioned CPR to complete a concours-level restoration.

The car retains all of its original metal and is one of the straightest, unmolested 911s that we have ever restored. It also has every piece of documentation since new- to include every brochure, manual, service records, warranty book, yearly registrations, photos of the car throughout its lifetime, and much more. This car is, without a doubt, the best-documented early 911 we have ever encountered with a complete verifiable history. It is also a rare delight to see a story where the gentleman that worked on this 911S for years and years, ended up purchasing it 40+ years later and carried forward the car's unique story and history.

Also of note, the front and rear over-rider bars were installed early in the car's life. The second owner chose to restore the vehicle to exactly as it had been equipped when he serviced the car throughout its life.

This example is one of the more distinctive long-hood 911s still in existence today with its unmatched history and documentation. It should not be missed by any collector or enthusiast looking for a perfectly documented 911.

Original options for the car (as shown on its CoA) include:
-US equipment
-Rear wiper
-Blaupunkt radio
-Comfort equipment (air conditioning)
-Tinted glass all around
-Electric sunroof
